(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Seerah and moral virtues of Imam Ali (AS) were discussed on June 8 at a scientific-research seminar in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh State of India.
The program was attended by scholars, intellectuals, religious leaders and political figures.
Addressing the seminar, Seyyed Sadeq, region's eminent Shia intellectual, talked about the character of Imam Ali (AS) and underscored the role of Imam Ali (AS) in promoting moral and human values in the society in his time.
He said that though mankind has made progress in scientific fields, he has not achieved notable success in promotion of his spiritual values.
He stressed that: “If we are after moral virtues we should follow Ahl-ul-Bayt’s (AS) Seerah and act upon their teachings in our today’s life.”
Seyyed Ahmad, governor of Jharkhand State, Mohammad Aref Khan, former Indian minister, Fadhl-ul-Rahman, religious preacher and imam of mosque of Sunni Muslims in Lucknow, Mansur Hassan, cardiologist in Sahara Hospital and Alam Naqawi, Indian journalist also presented speeches at the seminar.
